Work Examiner (all editions) updated (build 378)
March 1, 2011
Work Examiner (all editions) updated (build 378):
-
new: 64bit OS support
Some of our customers were using 64bit Windows operational systems (XP\Vista\7) on employee PCs and had compatibility problems. E.g. Work Examiner's web filter is using a driver module and it must be signed for 64bit OS. Also, client processes were not hidden in the stealth mode. Now, all these and some other issues were resolved by complete 64bit OS support in 378 build.
-
new: web filter driver
Some https sites with incorrect headers were not displayed in the web browser if Work Examiner's web rule is applied. Also, driver's memory usage was optimized too.
-
new: pending delete objects for WE Professional
We have many customers with 200+ PCs and they were experiencing some problems with the speed of deleting objects like user, computer, application, website. The reason is simple - the more associated data you have - the lower is deletion performance. That's why we decided to implement a pending deletion feature in a seperate thread of the WE Pro Server's weServerMessenger.exe process. Now all objects will be removed from the UI immideately and then deleted from the database in a background mode.
-
new: multithread clear database
The first implementation of 'Delete logs older than...' was quite simple and worked by a schedule, making some load in the WE Pro Server's weServerMessenger.exe process. In build 378 this feature was carried out to a separate thread to avoid an indluence of high load to WE network messaging functions.
-
fixed: real-time info issues on multiple user sessions of the client PC
When the Real-time info feature was in use, there was a bug with viewing several user sessions on the same computer. The problem was fixed and it makes WE more friendly with terminal servers.
